Someones blog

“There’s nothing cute about it,” he said. The register of his voice indicated decision more so than discussion.

She disagreed heartily and privately, staring past his head and out the window behind him.
She set down her iPhone. "I'm spoofing blog awards by having an awards page with no awards. It's funny."

"It's beyond lame. Now a pickle cross-bred with an antelope: that's entertainment."

"Why?"

"Because."

  4. The pickelope responder has me giggling I envision it mounted on the wall of some steakhouse. But yes, a blank awards page WOULD be funny to those who got it.

    1. Pretty much everything I have ever posted on my blog, I vacillate between thinking it is witty and humorous to pathetic and needy. And that pretty much sums up my personality. So, there you go.

  8. How did this prompt ever lead you to cross-breeding?! I just love how differently everyone takes a prompt. Love it!

    1. Thanks! I can't really take credit for the cross-breeding thing, though. That really is from a blogger who refers to their blog as Pickleope. If you are interested in pictures of this mythic creature, be sure to check out the blog. You can find it on my blogroll or just google it. It is funny and satirical, and way better than anything I could ever produce.

  10. I would so totally love to get an award on a blank page. Thing is, I wouldn't even need notification, and nobody would need to know either. This is my kind of award!!! (You have no idea.)

    Very funny.
