J is for Julianne Hough

Never give up on your dreams.

As a 41 year old, stay at home mom whose former career was in the field of computer science and engineering, I thought the chances of me appearing on Dancing with the Stars were slim to none. However, thanks to the internet, youTube, and a complete lack of motivation for housework, I have landed a spot in the competition and I'm partnered up with Julianne Hough. We had a pretty intense training session yesterday, and of course, I broke down in tears several times. But Julianne said she will not give up on me. She's, like, the best partner ever!

Here is Julianne performing our daily warm-up for you. Enjoy!

  2. How funny, I have that exact outfit. I gotta say, I look a little better in it than she does, not brag or anything. :)) In an alternate universe maybe, look at that girl go!

  3. I, however, do not have that outfit. Was it just me or is that outfit just a couple sprigs of water away from being perfect for Flashdance?

    1. I bet you are glad that I gave written instructions on DIY legwarmers out of knee-high socks, right? You can tell that Julianne went for the real deal with her legwarmers. We are sparing no expense with my training.

  4. Awesome! She's way less frightening than Jillian Michaels!

  5. I'm trying to get caught up on the alphabet here, but I'm going to have to go to the E.R. to have them check my blood pressure and heart rate. Plus, I can't stop saying, "Cross, unwind, sit." now. There is also a puddle of drool on my keyboard. No idea where it came from, but I'm going to bet it was me.

I feel all icky, because I think I have children her age.

  6. Hee! Funny post! I'm also a former computer science career gal. It's funny - when I quit to write full time, I found out that like half my co-workers were also secret writers. We're an odd bunch, that's for sure.

Wishing you continued success with the A to Z challenge,
    Jocelyn
